Sterling Silver Belt Buckles

(click on a picture for more information about each buckle)

These sterling silver Belt Buckles were cast from sterling silver flatware.  They were cast in the dates on the back for a local physician by Hanover Bros., of Mechanicsville, VA.  They are quite beautiful and make a wonderful impression when worn.  There were a few solid silver buckles which were cast for officers during the Civil War.  They were jeweler made.  Now you may own one of these one of a kind buckles.
